Original Aleppo - Seife aus Syrien

Aleppo soap is probably the oldest and purest soap in the world. It is a natural, skin-friendly and an entirely organic product. The pure and herbal formula is pH-neutral. The two main components are moisturizing olive oil and cleansing laurel oil, together, they can help to calm inflammation, irritation and redness. It is completely free of palm oil, animal fats and preservatives.

Aleppo soap is named for the city Aleppo, Syria in which it was first made. Some say it is the oldest soap in the world, the first documented production of Aleppo soap dates back to the 8th century, though many say that it existed well before that. Aleppo soaps are "hand-boiled" and cut using the traditional method. The cubes of soap are then stacked in staggered racks to allow maximum air exposure. They are then dried for up to 9 months to final maturity. The soap turns ochre on the surface but keeps the olive green tone inside.
